The Five Sections of the Ogham can be seen as Five Stages of a Spiritual Journey, in a Pentagram of Pentagrams. Each tree stage has a meaning, as does each set of five.

The Ogham Prayer Beads are made with a medallion and five sets of nine beads, for the five parts of the Ogham. My personal set has a bronze Oak Pentacle for the medallion. The beads are Corn Seed beads from the Qualla Cherokee Reservation in North Carolina, with small sandlewood spacer beads. But you can use whatever materials you like. Wood or other plant material is recommeded, rather than stone, glass, or plastic.
Separate the main beads with a small spacer bead. Separate each section of five with several small spacers. Use nylon beading thread.
For the medallion you might use a pentacle, for the five sets of five trees. Or you might use a representation of the Dagda, or of Diana. Or you might use a medallion with a tree on it, or perhaps one of the new Awen pendants available from the Order.

Suggested Prayers for your Ogham Prayer Beads
On the Medallion, say the Druid's Prayer: Grant, O (God/Goddess,Spirit) thy protection; and in protection, strength; and in strength, understanding; and in understanding, knowledge; and in knowledge the knowledge of justice; and in the knowledge of justice, the love of it; and in the love of it, the love of all existances; and in the love of all existances, the love of (God/Goddess/Spirit) and all goodness. And then say a prayer of thanks for the spirits of the trees.
On the first section of spacer beads, say: "May the Trees of Beginning bless me in my setting out." Then name the first beginning tree: May Beith, the Beginning of Birch, be with me as I begin the journey."
On each of the first section of beads, say: "Hail to thee, Lord and Lady of the Wood. With the Beginnings of Birch, hear my prayer, and accept my offering of love. As you do each prayer, meditate on the spirit of the Birch, and its role in empowering the beginnings of your journeys.
On the following small spacer beads, conclude the section, saying: "As it was, as it is, as it shall be, with the ebb and with the flow of grace." (Do this after each section.)
Repeat the same prayer for the next for sets of beads, changing the Tree each time: " . . . With the Magic of Rowan . . . " etc.
Upon returning to the Medallion, say Patrick's Lorica: "I bind unto myself today the virtues of the starlit heaven, the glorious sun's life-giving ray, the whiteness of the moon at ev'n. The flashing of the lightning free, the whirling wind's tempestuous shocks, the stable earth, the deep salt sea, around the old eternal rocks."
If you wish, continue on around again for the next set of five Trees, & etc. or do one set each day.
